I had peppermint cheese cake for the first time tonight at a party. Man was that so good. any of you ever had that before. Think it might be my new favorite kind of cheese cake!

Depends on the kind of crust. I like the crunchy base with the soft cream cheese topping... not that half-cream-half-cake thing... blech!

Never had it but it sounds great. I love any kind of cheese cake.

Oh wow! I bet that was delicious! I'd love a recipe. Anyone else besides me hate it when there's too much cinnamon in a cheesecake crust? Grrr! I too prefer my cheesecake to have a more creamy texture as opposed to a custard texture.

Sounds interesting. For me it's hit and miss when it comes to cheeze cake, but that might be interesting. I'll have to try making one of those.

for me, cheesecake is cheesecake is cheesecake.

i'm a sweet freak so will eat any kind of cheesecake.

my step mother, made a pumpkin cheesecake, but instead of gram craker crust she ground up ginger snaps as the crust. fucking yum.

what i want to know is it peppermint flavor alone or does it have chocolate and peppermint together. i'm a plailn cheesecake kind of gal, and a little goes a long way for me. on the other hand, my daughter loves it.

I've never had peppermint cheese cake before but I'd be willing to try it. Must go recipe hunting in a little bit.

Pepermint cheesecake, sounds sooo yummy!!! I also looove chocolate cheesecake and cherry cheesecake, well, any kind of cheesecake, really!! I've never tried the custard types, so don't know if I would like that. I'd imagine with the mint cheesecake, you could put mint extract in the cream cheese filling, rather than vanilla and use those mint oreos crushed up, for your crust. Take some chocolate and melt it in a double boiler/microwave and spread it over the top of your cheesecake, once it's done. Put it in the fridge and let it harden. Alternatively, make a mint chocolate ganache and put it over the top. Mmmm, dang. I'm making myself hungry, here, lol.
Take Care,
Dawnielle

Never had that kind before either. I had some from my school's dining hall the other day and it was absolutely fucking disgusting. The filling had wayyyyyy too much butter in it which destroyed any flavor it was supposed to have.

That's because it was institution food, I bet.

I'm a plain cheesecake kinda girl, but the occasional strawberry, or, in this case, peppermint, I bet, would go a long way.
